Research Interests

His research crosses disciplinary boundaries: clinical outcomes in plastic surgery, body image and informed consent, health law, platform governance in medicine, and the medical humanities. He is the author of four international books and has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles.

Clinical Philosophy

Dr. Friedman believes in full medical transparency and a rigorous informed consent process. Every patient receives a clear and complete picture of realistic expectations, potential risks and treatment options before any surgical decision is made. This approach reflects his academic work in health law and medical ethics.

"My goal is not to perform as many operations as possible. It is to choose the right procedure — and sometimes to recommend not operating at all."
